Photographing people and their companions is Jolene's passion. Her dream of becoming a professional photographer started at age 10 when she tagged along with a commercial photographer on shoots and in the darkroom. Jolene began photographing family and friends in beautiful Northern California more than 20 years ago. She moved to Minneapolis in 1992 to finish her Bachelors Degree, which included receiving a diploma in Photographic Arts at the School of Communication Arts. Jolene lives in St. Louis Park with husband, Todd and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Beardsley. Jolene believes in being versatile in her approach to photography rather than limiting herself to just one subject or venue. She has found that the key to great photographs--whether you are photographing children, large groups, or horses--is patience and a sense of humor! Jolene is an active member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the Minnesota Professional Photographers Association (MPPA) and the Twin Cities Professional Photographer Association (TCPPA).
